Getting the team Juiced up warm ups.
How it all started was when I found out guys were going through the motions and not stretching or warming up with the intention to perform at a high level. So I started yelling. “Serious stretch prevents serious injuries.” And I kept saying practice after practice after practice until it got to the point where I would Yell it and only half of the team could understand what I was saying. It was until THEN! coach Mark Murdoch or OC says, “why do you only say it in that side of the field, say it in the middle so everyone can hear it.” This then did exactly what he told, I then noticed the OTHER half of the team saying, “oooooh that’s what you guys were saying.” Which then! Evolved into an every practice routine where the boys would yell at me “Coach J-MAR lemme hear you!” And I would then answer back, “gentlemen! Say it with me one time!” And then the team would answer back, “SERIOUS STRETCHING PREVENTS SERIOUS INJURIES!” And then would proceed with the high energy part of the dynamic warm up we would routinely do. So THEN! After this happening for a while I the thought 💭 how can I put a J-MAR twist on it and make this HYPE! So I decide to incorporate the Samoan “Mili” along with what I had been doing which then evolved into what my amazing wife recorded for me. She missed the beginning part, but got most of it. Enjoy!
